Expecting the Best

Less than a week before school starts back. We've been clothes shopping, bought school supplies, enrolled for day care, and now we're making the most of the last few free days. This week Daddy's off spending time with the kids...he'll be begging to go back to work any day now! But it's been a great summer all the same.

I've begun several new projects and actually finished one. It's a ballet-neck swing tank from Knitter's Magazine Spring 05 issue. In case you didn't know, there are almost no knitting patterns for maternity wear, so this pattern worked great! And I thought maybe I could recycle the yarn afterwards.

I also started a sweater for baby Hank (we can't agree on a name, so I've just been calling him Hank). I used Dalegarn's Stork yarn. The cotton is nice and cool for summer and it has such a fine feel it knits up very fast, even on size 2 needles. I'll probably put the pattern out here after I finish it, if anyone wants it.
